When I asked my client to tell us her proposal story this is what she said!

It was really cute! Clemson is a huge deal to us, I have been a big fan ever since my sister started going to Clemson and Ben has been since birth. He arranged for all of our family and friends to be at the Wofford game on 11/2/2019, and was able to wait through the whole game to rush the field with my sister and I! I was taking a picture with my sister and then turned around to find Ben on one knee! It was such an amazing day and I was so grateful all of our people were there to celebrate after!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

Raise your hands if you need time to process big decisions? Or if you’re like me, who’s analytical and pensive before actually making a darn decision!

Making a decision is hard, period. Especially when it involves your wallet, and if you are anything like me-forget it. I have been there and done that!

I am here to help you, narrow down your options, buckle down and make a decision on your wedding photographer, even if it’s not me!

We have found that most of our inquiring brides are booking us one year to one year in half in advanced. This books and solidifies your wedding photographer and puts you in their calendar.

Wedding planning is meant to be fun, relaxing and especially exciting. You should have all the butterflies in your tummy when you dream of the day you say I do. In fact we go as far as saying that your wedding planning should be as magical as your wedding day-but this can only happen if you take your time and hire the right vendors that are looking to go the extra mile and anticipating all the details for you.

Early on in my career, I saw too many brides stressed ready to yank out their hair the month and even the day of their wedding day. Why? Because they waited too long to make decisions and to plan for their wedding. So many brides couldn’t wait to get their wedding day over. I don’t know about you, but if I am investing any kind of money into anything, I better be enjoying every single one.

So here is to your to do list…

Number one, have you picked a wedding venue? Number two, have you booked your wedding photographer? These are some of the top priorities that should be on your to do list since these are the vendors brides are booking way in advance-you know the brides that plan their wedding day since they were like 4! Yup, those! And you don’t want them to take all the goodies!

I am so happy you are here to join me today in our blog! We absolutely adore telling love stories! Here is the entire session from earlier this winter. I am so excited to to tell their entire love story this spring on their wedding day!

I asked Blair to tell me their proposal story and here is what she said:

He rented a cabin in WV after Christmas ‘17 and before New Years. After a wonderful home cooked meal, some of my favorite wine, and a winter dip in the hot tub; Joe was stoking the fire in the fireplace and spun around to get on one knee and proposed.

Welcome to the blog! Thank you sooo much for being here today, it means so much to me! 

If we haven’t already met, hello my name is Hosanna a bohemian kind of girl all the way from Las Vegas. It is so nice to meet you! On most days you can find me planning, learning something new, hanging out in my office, sipping on coffee, or enjoying being present with my little family. I get asked all the time what brought us to the Carolinas so in case you are wondering too, we were in the search for an adventure and a new kind of life. Leaving our families, friends and work behind was not an easy task for us; but we believed strongly in the pursuit of our dreams and turning the deepest desires of our hearts into reality.

Over the past two years the journey of moving and starting a business has been nothing less than challenging, delightful and unexpected. Aside from giving birth to my second son and moving all of our stuff three different times through PODs and Uhauls, Hosanna Wilmot Photography was also born.

Looking back two years ago, I could have not even imagined a life with a new career. I believed in living a life fueled by learning and creativity, but little did I know that it would turn into photographing weddings and portraits.

Today I am sharing my creative space/office s where hours turn into days, days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months. My husband and those close to me keep me in balance, as I tend to quickly turn into a workaholic. But I tell them frequently, it’s not working if you love what you are doing! So thank you to all the beautiful families and couples I have had the pleasure of photographing.

As I was writing this blog, I might have pre written maybe 10 other blogs I may never share because I found myself going on a million tangents because lets be clear hear, yes I love to talk! I really love to talk but I also really love to listen.

So today my friend, I ask you, how is life going? What are you cooking up in 2019? What are you dreaming about for this year, or what are you doing this year that will get you a step closer? Feel free to drop them in the comments below, or send me an email and lets get together for some coffee, I would love to hear!

In closing, I encourage you today to take action and start jotting does dreams and goals for the new year down! Write them on your phone or create a board where you will see them daily.

When there is a vision, there is a way. Get out there and pave your path.

Would you just stop and take a look at these pair of cuties! Amber and Kin were such a delight to work with!
From the moment Amber and I started emailing back and forth I was looking forward so eagerly to meeting the two of them. Let’s just say that she is the email kind of girl, all of my attempts of getting her on the phone with me failed, but hey meeting them for the first time for their engagement session was like unwrapping a Christmas gift!

All of my clients love stories have a beginning and I am always delighted to hearing how two people came to love each other and plan to say “I do.”
Not only was it so nice to meet the two of you but I am so thrilled to be on this journey with the two of you as we look forward to your wedding in November that I know will be amazing! 

I am going to let Amber’s Proposal take the stage, her proposal is straight out of the Notebook! this is what she shared with me!

“

My proposal was the sweetest! We got engaged on August 18th, 2018 at Huntington Beach. Kin's parents live in Murrells Inlet and his sister and brother in law live in Charlotte. He told me that we were going to his parents for the weekend to spend time with his family. This wasn't uncommon for us.

The Thursday before we left, Kin's sister called us and asked if we could take family photos of her, her husband, and their new baby at Huntington Beach, SC. That Saturday morning Kin's mom was decorating the house. She told us they were throwing an anniversary party for two of their really good friends. This wasn't uncommon either. They even had a banner drawn out on the counter that read, "Happy Anniversary." Little did I know, that she was actually decorating for my engagement. I was completely clueless! Everyone acted normal and calm.

Kin's sister suggested that we go out to eat after their photos, instead of hanging out at the anniversary party. Saturday afternoon, we all got dressed and headed to Huntington Beach to take photos. Once we got on the beach, Kin's brother in law suggested that Kin and I take a few pictures also. We posed for a picture and I saw Kin out the corner of my eye rumbling around in his pocket. I hate carrying a purse! So, I had given Kin my lip stick, phone, and gum on our walk to the beach. All of my stuff was piled on top of the ring box and poor Kin couldn't get it out. He finally got it out and got down on one knee. His brother-in-law recorded the whole thing.

As soon as I said yes, it started pouring down rain. It was such a sweet moment. It felt like the notebook! Five minutes later, a beautiful rainbow came out and Kin's sister captured an awesome photo of us. After all of this, I asked if we could go back home to change into dry clothes before going to dinner. Once we got back to Kin's parents, I saw all of our friends and family gathered on the porch to celebrate. It was one of the sweetest nights of my life! I will forever cherish it.
