There’s something extra special about photographing new parents with their baby by the ocean—something soft, peaceful, and full of wonder. This Myrtle Beach family session with mom, dad, and their newborn was the kind of session that made my heart so full.
We began our evening with the classic beauty of blue skies and gentle waves—the perfect backdrop for this family’s first official photos together. Their baby was absolutely precious, snuggled in their arms and already so loved. You could feel the tenderness in every moment: the way mom gently held her baby close, the pride in dad’s eyes, and the love they both felt not only for their newest addition, but for one another.
And just when I thought the evening couldn’t be more beautiful, the sky gave us the most magical surprise—a cotton candy-colored sunset that painted the sky in soft pinks and purples.
Photographing a newborn at the beach might sound a little adventurous, but it’s honestly one of the sweetest ways to mark this incredibly fast season. The beach brings a calm and timeless feel.
