Celebrating Liam’s very first birthday was such a special milestone — not only for him, but for me as a photographer who has been honored to document so many chapters of his family’s story. From capturing Alyssa and Ben’s engagement and wedding day, to their growing business, to newborn snuggles and family sessions on the beach, I’ve been lucky enough to walk alongside them through it all. This time, the celebration was all about Liam turning ONE, and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
As a Myrtle Beach milestone photographer, I absolutely love documenting these once-in-a-lifetime moments. Liam’s birthday party was extra special because Alyssa and Ben own Stunning & Brilliant Events, and when they plan a celebration, you know it’s going to be unforgettable. The theme? “Liam’s First Down” — a playful, football-inspired party that had everyone cheering. Every detail was intentional, creative, and perfectly executed, from the game-day décor to the sweet treats that tied it all together.
Photographing Liam’s milestone birthday was more than just documenting a party — it was about capturing the joy of a family who knows how to celebrate life’s biggest (and sweetest) moments. Watching Liam dig into his smash cake, seeing the love shared between grandparents, parents, and friends, and noticing all the thoughtful details Alyssa poured her heart into… those are the kinds of memories that make birthday photography so meaningful.
What makes this family so close to my heart is the bigger story: being trusted to capture every season of Alyssa and Ben’s journey. From their wedding vows, to newborn sessions, to this first birthday milestone, it’s been such a joy to help preserve these memories.
