There’s just something special about North Myrtle Beach. Maybe it’s the sound of the waves in the background, the breeze that never stops moving, or the way families seem to relax the moment their toes touch the sand. Whatever it is—it was the perfect setting for this beautiful family session.
This family of six brought so much warmth and connection to their session. With two older girls full of grace and personality, and two younger boys who kept us all on our toes, it was a session filled with energy, laughter, and sweet in-between moments that I just love to capture. You could tell that this crew genuinely enjoys being around each other—which always makes for the best kind of photos.
And they didn’t come alone! Grandma and Grandpa joined in, and let me just say—more families should consider this. There’s something incredibly meaningful about capturing the generations together. From snuggles with grandkids to quiet smiles exchanged between decades of love, it added such a rich layer of story to their gallery.
One of the standout things from this session was their color palette. While most people lean into blues, whites, and tans for the beach (which are always beautiful), this family chose a green and white color scheme—and it was stunning. The green tones popped so beautifully against the soft, sandy beach and pale blue water, bringing a refreshing and unique touch to their look. If you’ve never considered green for your beach photos, take this as your sign that it can absolutely work and be gorgeous.
We laughed. We explored. We chased a few little feet through the sand. And in the end, we created a gallery full of connection, joy, and all the little glances and giggles that make family life so special.
If you’re heading to the beach with your people—whether you’re a family of four or bringing the whole crew along—know that these are the moments worth capturing. The ones you’ll look back on and say, “That was us. Just as we were. And it was beautiful.”
