There are few things I love more as a photographer than walking alongside families through every season of life — and Alyssa and Ben are such a perfect example of why this work means so much to me.
From their engagement and wedding day, to celebrating their business milestones, to documenting the joys of parenthood, I’ve had the honor of capturing so many chapters of their story. Each session has been a reminder that photography isn’t just about pretty pictures — it’s about preserving legacies.
This summer, I had the joy of photographing their family session at Myrtle Beach, and it felt extra special because Alyssa and Ben invited the grandparents to join in. Watching little Liam play, laugh, and snuggle with his grandparents was the sweetest reminder of just how important it is to capture these fleeting moments.
The salty breeze, soft golden light, and sound of the waves made the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with laughter, hugs, and all those in-between moments that make family life so beautiful.
What I love most about Alyssa’s sessions is that they never feel posed or stiff — instead, they’re full of connection. The way Ben looked at Alyssa, the way Liam’s tiny hands held onto his grandparents, the laughter that rippled through the family as they walked along the shoreline… those are the details that tell the real story.
Being trusted to capture these memories year after year is such an honor. It’s not just about one session, but about building a visual story that their family will treasure for generations.
