I have had the pleasure of knowing the Manning family over the years and working together, so getting to photograph this season of their family was incredibly special.

We actually started talking about doing a family session at their home back in the winter. They had poured so much of their hearts into creating their dream home, and I loved the idea of capturing their family in a place that was not only absolutely beautiful, but also so meaningful to them.

And their home truly was the perfect backdrop.

Every part of their property was thoughtfully designed and so beautiful, giving us so many gorgeous places to photograph. But more than that, it felt like them. It was a home they had dreamed about, worked toward, and created for their family and that made these photographs feel even more special.

We spent the evening walking around their property, finding beautiful pockets of light and capturing a mixture of timeless family portraits and those sweet, natural moments in between. Some of my favorite images are the ones that show not only their family together, but also a little glimpse of the home and life they have created.

There is something incredibly meaningful about having family photos taken at home. Years from now, these images will hold so much more than what everyone looked like during this season. They'll be a reminder of where their children grew up, the spaces where everyday memories were made, and a home that was such an important part of their family's story.
