Welcome back to the blog!
One of the greatest joys of being a family photographer is getting to watch families grow over the years. There is something incredibly special about reconnecting with past clients and seeing how much life has changed since the last time we were together.
This session with the Traina family was exactly that.
I first photographed their family a few years ago, and since then, they've welcomed the sweetest little boy into their family. Seeing everyone again—and getting to meet the newest member of the family—made this session even more meaningful.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was watching big sister step into her new role. She was so proud to show her little brother the ropes, whether that meant helping him explore the beach, making him laugh, or simply staying close by. Those sibling moments are often the ones families treasure the most years later, and I loved getting to preserve them.
One of the reasons I encourage families to schedule photos regularly is because children change so quickly. It feels like one day they're taking their first steps, and the next they're running down the beach with a little sibling following close behind. These seasons pass so much faster than we expect, and photographs become one of the few ways we can hold onto them.
Oak Island provided the perfect backdrop for this session. The peaceful shoreline, beautiful evening light, and quiet beaches created such a relaxed atmosphere, allowing everyone to simply enjoy being together. Some of my favorite images came from the in-between moments—the laughter, the cuddles, and the sweet interactions between brother and sister.
As a family photographer serving Myrtle Beach, Oak Island, and the surrounding coastal communities, my goal is always to create photographs that feel genuine. I want your gallery to reflect your family's unique personalities and the season you're in right now—not perfectly posed, but beautifully authentic.
The Traina family reminded me why I love photographing returning clients. Being invited back into your lives to document another chapter is one of the greatest compliments I can receive, and it never gets old.
Kendal, thank you for trusting me once again to capture your beautiful family. It has been such a joy watching your family grow, and I can't wait to see where the next chapter takes you.
Thank you for stopping by the blog!
XoXo,
